Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owned a 2017 hyundai tucson. While driving 55 mph, the contact noticed a fuel odor inside the vehicle and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact exited the vehicle and, minutes later, it caught on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was notified and stated that someone would come out and inspect the vehicle. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000. The vin was unknown. |
