Description of the problem | As reported by some others, after coming to a complete stop at an intersection, when i press on the accelerator, the rpm's rev up to over 4000, but the vehicle barely moves forward for about 5 seconds. This seems to happen during periods of high outside temperatures and only sporadically. This describes the exact same conditions that hyundai recalled the 2016 tucsons for in september of 2016. This is what hyundai said then: "hyundai says the transmission clutch application logic can cause a delayed engagement of the transmission when taking off from a stop." when i've taken the vehicle in for service, the technicians say that they can't replicate the condition, so they cannot pull a code and find a problem. This is a very dangerous problem when "stuck" in the middle of an intersection or trying to merge onto a highway or interstate. I have experienced both situations and it is not safe! |
