Description of the problem | Purchased 2017 tucson eco (1. 6l turbo with dual clutch transmission (dct)) about 6 months ago. 2016 model year was recalled for dct throttle response issues. I have the same lack of throttle response with my vehicle. The issue has happened nearly 10 times which started at approximately 150 miles on the brand new vehicle. From a stop or even at highway speeds, the engine/transmission does not respond when accelerator is fully compressed. Has been in for repair twice and hyundai claims there is "nothing wrong with the vehicle". The situation is reported by many others and mirrors the recall from 2016. Horribly dangerous defect and hyundai refuses to buy back or trade the vehicle. I have initiated a claim with the better business bureau and a lemon law lawyer. This vehicle is dangerous. |
