Description of the problemI purchased a 2017 hyundai tucson a month ago and it has dangerous and defective transmission behavior. There have been multiple times when i have pressed the accelerator and the car moves very slowly for a few seconds then suddenly lurches forwards. I have also pressed the accelerator while driving and the car has actually slowed down! There was a scary incident when i was turning into traffic, and instead of behaving normally, my car slowed down, putting my wife and i at risk of being hit in the side by the approaching traffic! This cars behavior is dangerous and somebody will die because of it (if nobody has died already). I have taken the car to my local hyundai service center and they said nothing was wrong with it, and that i will "get used" to driving it, because it is a dct (dual clutch manual transmission). This car was marketed as an automatic. I know how to drive both automatic and manual transmissions, and i have never seen a "properly functioning car" behave like this. I have reached out to hyundai corporation and they have not gotten back to me about a resolution, but in the mean time this car is very unsafe and needs to be recalled!
