Description of the problem | Rear window spontaneously shattered in the spring of 2018 (early may). Called dealership who couldn't replace and sent to go through insurance. Fall of 2019 (september) the same window spontaneously shattered. Both times no physical injury to window, car was parked in locked lot. These occurred at change of season. Upon researching this issue there are numerous discussions of spontaneously shattering windows for hyundai vehicles. Luckily no one was hurt this time. Reports of this occurring vary from while in motion or parked, although both of mine occurred while the car was parked. |
