Description of the problem	Driving on the highway in fast lane during evening commute, my infinity malfunctioned - random engine shutoff. This malfunction disabled all features of vehicle - lights, steering, brakes, airbags, and more. (the previous section only let me select three affected parts) luckily i was able to coast vehicle to a stop on the inside of the highway without causing an accident, being injured myself or worse. Had to have vehicle towed from scene. Research shows that a variety of infinity vehicles from 2005 to the current year have experienced this same malfunction issue and there seems to have been a recall issued for later years. I contacted infinity regarding this issue and was told that my vehicle not covered. Request that nhtsa investigate cause of random shutoff (some sort of fuel sensor) and issue a recall for all infinity years/models to correct this issue. Infinity suggests i bring vehicle in for diagnosis but will be subject to hourly rate for diagnosis and replacement parts/repairs.
