Description of the problem | Infiniti g 35x 2007. At 20,000 miles, the power steering belt broke during speeds of 60 mph. I was told the belt was defective. At 25,000 miles, the belt broke again on the freeway at 60 mph. I had difficulty maneuvering the car off the freeway and am traffic heavy with no shoulder. The dealership replaced the belt again but was unable to state the cause. They stated they replaced parts surrounding the belt. I now have approx 28,000 miles and a wheel bearing and the differential had to be replaced. Nissan, the parent company is aware of the power steering issue but states that this has never happened with any of their vehicles. I believe i have a lemon vehicle but washington state lemon law states too much time has elapsed to be covered under this. We received no assistance from nissan corp. I consider this a safety issue. |
