Description of the problem | 1. I purchased an infiniti qx56 suv in febuary 2005. In mid march, at 2500 miles, the steering wheel began to shake violently when i tried to stop the car. Any time the brakes were applied the shaking would begin.. The entire car would shake every time we hit a bump. From the beginning, it would be very difficult to bring the car to a stop. 2. Fortunately we caught the problem before a complete brake failure, as we have 2 young children who are in the car daily. 3. We were told by infiniti that there is a brake defect in the design of the car. According the service technicians at the dealership, the brakes and rotors were not engineered properly and will be problematic every 3000 miles. For now, the dealership replaced the rotors and brakes. *ak |
