Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep cherokee. While driving 45-50 mph, the contact noticed that the vehicle was switching gears very hard and the traction control and check engine indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (northwest chrysler jeep dodge ram, 19616 northwest fwy, houston, tx 77065) where it was diagnosed that a software update was needed. The failure recurred a total of four times, and each time the dealer gave the same reply. The contact found nhtsa campaign number: 16v529000 (power train) and stated that the symptoms were identical, but the vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer confirmed that the vin was not included in the recall and they could not assist with the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000. |
