Description of the problem | My automatic rear hatch stopped working after a small amount of water from a cooler leaked in my "trunk". I checked the fuse for the hatch and it blew, i swapped it out and smoke began to pour from the rear of my jeep (the trunk) then a fire erupted, severely damaging my cherokee. The jeep was in my driveway and due to the fire being near the gas tank i had to drive it to the street out of fear it would hurt my family. There is a recall re: the hatch motor module getting wet and causing a fire which i had performed in 2016. This part is faulty and almost harmed me/family and now i am out my deductible and car rental costs. No one from chrysler or jeep will call me back. |
