Description of the problem	I purchased may jeep cherokee in december 2017. On the first hot day of may 2020, i went into my car, and noticed the dashboard area along with the vents, had began to melt! It was hot outside, but this is not the first time that my car has been sitting in the sun. When i touched the vent, my fingers were covered in this black, gooey substance. Not only is the interior of my car destroyed, but my concern is whether this substance is hazardous. Are there chemicals in the paint or any toxic elements? I have showed the photos of the problem to many people. And everyone has the same answer, which is, "i have never seen anything like this before." i contacted the dealership, where i purchased my jeep. My agent is currently looking into this. The second problem involves the shifter. All of the lights are lit up. I have already had an incident where i thought i was in "park" but it turned out i was in reverse.
