Description of the problem | My vehicle was parked in the garage and was turned off. I was placing laundry in the washer right by the garage. All of the sudden the vehicle started. I would not have known it had started if the engine had not been racing and i was only separated from it by the laundry room to garage door. I suspect the engine started when something in my pocket pressed on the key fob. This is very dangerous. It appears that the key fob isn't designed correctly, the key on the key fob that will start the vehicle should be depressed so items in ones pockets can't press the key that's used to start the engine. This needs to be corrected either through disabling the remote start or providing a key fob that won't allow this dangerous condition to occur. The vehicle was stationary turned off in my garage when it started. |
