Description of the problem | I own a 2015 jeep cherokee 4x4 (2. 4l/4 cyl). I've been having issues with the new automatic 9-speed transmission. The vehicle will lunge forward while decelerating at speeds between 20-25 mph. Once the speedometer reaches 20 mph, the rpm's spike and vehicle accelerates (lunges) forward. In addition while accelerating to 55-60 mph the rpm's rev at a higher rate 3000-3500 rpm range and will not click into gear properly. I took my jeep back to the dealer on 4-25-15 and after a test drive and diagnosis they decided to replace the transmission. I received my jeep back on monday may 4th and it still has the same problem. This is a safety issue and i am concerned about hitting another car while decelerating towards a stop light or stop sign. As soon as the jeep hits 20 mph, the rpm's spike and car wants to go faster. |
