Description of the problem	When pusking the gas pedal from a complete stop, the car hesitates before engaging and then when it does engage, it accelerates at a high rate of speed and when slowing down it does not stop as quickly because the transmission is still engaged at a higher gear thus making rear impacts likely. Trying to make a turn either left or right in a high traffic congested area, it is almost impossible to to merge with the traffic quickly because of this hesitation. I feel like i am taking my life in my hands every time i drive this vehicle. This is a safety concern and should be treated as such.
