Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep cherokee. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the vehicle had a pinched wire. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was previously taken to the dealer to be serviced for a customer satisfaction campaign for the transmission control module and power train control module software update. Approximately five months later, while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle accelerated independently and the rpms revved. The vehicle operated properly after the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was repaired five times; however, the failure recurred intermittently. The failure mileage was 20,500. |
