Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle accelerated approximately to 2,000 rpms when attempting to decelerate. As a result, the vehicle surged forward. The contact had to depress the brake pedal to avoid the acceleration and make the vehicle decelerate instead. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer (levanon jeep chrysler dodge ram) where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be reprogrammed. The transmission was reprogrammed, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,968. ...
