Description of the problem | My jeep cherokee has the 9 speed transmission. I went to start the car it took several times to start when it did the car dropped hard into gear and all of the service trans lights came on and it was very difficult to get home as the car was having a very hard time getting into gear and stayed in 2 wheel drive mode. I had the car towed to the dealership and they told me my drive tran warranty covered the cost and i just needed a software update. Four days later i was driving with my husband and 8 month old baby and while stopped at a stop sign the car died and again took several times to restart, all trans lights came on and could not get into gear, we had to drive slowly home with our hazards on and nearly got into an accident when trying to merge into traffic when it kept slipping out of gear. |
