Description of the problemBeginning immediately after a software update, the vehicle began to lurch forward at times while changing gears. This occurred most frequently in the lower gears. In november 2017, the vehicle began displaying service transmission, service parking brake, and 4wd temporarily unavailable messages when started. When shifting the car out of park into reverse or drive the car lurched, made a loud clunk, and would not accelerate. The vehicle can not be driven and must be turned off. Sometimes upon starting the vehicle again the whole process would repeat. Other times upon restart the vehicle is normal but the check engine light remains on for a day or so. When taken to the dealership they stated nothing was wrong with the car and that they can not check historical check engine light logs, as they are not retained. The issues have become more and more frequent as time passes. The vehicle has not yet failed completely while in motion.
