Description of the problem | The vehicles transmission skips gears and jerks when driving in city streets and the freeway. When this occurs the vehicle will either accelerate when it is supposed to be slowing down or slow down when trying to accelerate. On a few occasions in city streets it has increased in speed while close to stopping at about 2 to 3 miles per hour and i almost hit another vehicle in front of me. I am glad i was quick enough and had more than the required safe distance from the vehicle in front of me. I also had other instances when i am accelerating from a stop, at a slow speed and it has slipped gears and accelerated very quickly. I can't feel the jerk and then the quick jump in speed. I am afraid that i will get in an accident if it keeps jumping gears when it is not supposed to. |
