Description of the problem | 2015 jeep cherokee latitude 4x4 - when pressing the accelerator at a stop light/sign, it acts as if it is in neutral for a few seconds prior to taking off. It will often jerk hard when it does move as if it is dropping into gear. Often times the jerk is hard enough that it will throw me back in the seat and makes a horrid noise. The jerk can happen after stopping or randomly auto shifting while driving down the road. I've kept a diary of logistics (hill, flat surface, winter, summer, rain, dry, slow driving, fast driving, etc...) and there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to when it's going to "act up". Someone mentioned an o2 sensor? I've had it into the dealer a few times and have been told there's nothing wrong with it, it's normal for this to happen (both the feeling of being in neutral when taking off and the hard jerking when shifting). I worry my transmission is going to fall out of my car when this happens! |
