Description of the problem	While i was driving home from school, the "service parking brake" light came up on the dash. I pulled over and turned off the engine and turned it back on. The light did not come back on, so i didnt think it was an issue. Two days later i got into my car and turned on the engine and the light came on again. This time i was not able to remove the emergency parking brake. I had to search online and found out that the parking brake automatically comes off if you put your seat belt on and put the vehicle into d or r. Since this happened the lever to remove the parking break would not work at all. Every time i pressed the button, it said service parking brake. I also read online that a tsb was issued for this problem. The problem was that the parking brake module in the rear, as well as the harness needed to be replaced since it was corroded. How would something that is in the rear of the vehicle, hidden behind the side panels get corroded and have the owner be responsible for damages if this is something that should be placed in a location where it cannot get wet or corroded.
