Description of the problem | The car's cruise control was engaged while climbing a slight hill on the freeway. The car failed to stop accelerating at 60 mph (set speed limit). The cruise control button nor pressing the brakes would disengage the system. After approximately 10 seconds, the car accelerated to 75 mph and finally disengaged. This was during the night, with moderate rush hour traffic on highway 16 near port orchard, wa. The dealer (west hills chrysler, bremerton wa) cannot find an error code and refuses to repair the vehicle. I deem the vehicle unsafe to drive while using the cruise control system. |
