Description of the problem | The vehicle would crank multiples time before starting. Three or four times, the car shut down while driving; it finally came down to the fuel pump not shutting down after the ignition switch was turned off, and the only way to shut down the fuel pump was to pull the fuse out of the ecm unit in the engine compartment. I was charged $1200 dollars for a new ecm unit at the dealer but the new unit was defective and needed the wire harness to be rewired due to an internal problem inside the ecm unit (the left fog light would blink instead of the front blinker light). |
