Description of the problem | I received a recall notice for the totally integrated power module for my 2011 jeep grand cherokee in october 2014. The vehicle now struggles to start almost every time it is prompted to. It usually takes two or three attempts to successfully start after it makes a sort of rev type of noise and even produces an odor which is smelt on the outside of the vehicle. The dealership has told me that the part to correct the issue is currently unavailable, and when it does become available, there are over 20 people ahead of me on the waiting list to be repaired. The recall states that the issue could cause the car to stall unexpectedly which makes me fearful for my, and others, safety being that i drive on the interstate everyday. |
