Description of the problem | We have had problems with this car for a couple of years. We have had to replace the computer, alternator, battery, and now the tipm. This car almost caught on fire once before due to the faulty computer system. Now with the tipm malfunctioning, the car wouldn't start. The battery discharged so we would take it to get charged, the car would work for a couple of weeks then it would happen again. This last time, the car never restarted. We had the vehicle towed to the local dealership and were told that it was a faulty tipm. Jeep cherokees 2012-2014 are recalled for this!! Why aren't the 2011s? |
