Description of the problem | 2011 jeep grand cherokee shuts off while driving. Power steering, engine control and braking all become difficult to use. Happening while turning causes the vehicle to veer into the guard rails, if they are present, or oncoming traffic, if turning away from traffic is too difficult. Luckily, in the multiple times this happened, i was turning right, either onto the highway onramp or into a gas station. The times into the gas station, sent me over the curb and grass, barely missing the pumps. The vehicle shows no signs of an error on the dash. All radio, lights and gauges work fine. Once you are able to stop the vehicle, it must be put into park and the push button start re-ignited. It terrified my family. |
