Description of the problem | This is the second time i've been in my home which has a connected garage and gone out in the garage to find the engine running and i know for sure it was off when parked. I believe the issue is with the key fob and other items in my pocket it's possible to inadvertently cause the key fob's remote start to be pushed in the sequence needed to remotely start the vehicle. At that point the vehicle is running and you have no idea. This could result in death if the door to the garage leaks and there's a build up of carbon monoxide. I've also experienced beeps from the cars horn like you receive when locking the vehicle with the key fob so i know it was most likely inadvertently started. Very unsafe. |
