Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2011 jeep grand cherokee laredo. The contact stated while driving 50 mph the transmission shifted independently into a lower gear and caused the vehicle to jerk and lunge. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis who was unable to duplicate the failure but stated that it was most likely a software failure. The software was upgraded.
