Description of the problem	Hi, i am writing to you today because my family and i had a couple near miss situations in regards to my braking system on my 2011 jeep grand cherokee. There was a audible heavy air leak from the broken vacuum seal going to the brake booster. With no power brakes i was on the verge of rear-ending vehicles and even worse pedestrians for a couple days until i could get my car in for servicing. I took my vehicle to a licensed mechanic prior to servicing and he told me of a very recent recall that was just getting initiated by chrysler in hopes of avoiding this exact situation. Recall p14. When i brought my suv in to get it serviced they said there was no recall assigned on behave of my specific vin number even though they did agree this recall fits exactly to what my deficiency is. I am getting it repaired as we speak because i do not want to take a chance or fool around with anything as vital as my braking system. They are replacing the entire booster and vacuum seal. If you would be so kind to inform me as to why this recall is not specific to my vin and 2011 grand cherokee as a faulty braking booster and seal is in no way supposed to fail in 3 years i would appreciate it. I am at the moment on hook for a bill that's 700 dollars plus from haley dodge jeep chrysler in white rock bc.
