Description of the problem | I left my car in with darcars jeep of rockville, maryland on april 2nd for a routine service and to complete any recalls. Darcars informed me that they were unable to complete one of the recalls (recall number 14v154000) on the car because criswell jeep of gaithersburg (a dealership that i used in october 2014) claimed they had already performed the work for the recall and had been paid by jeep, however the work was never actually done. Jeep is refusing to pay for this recall because criswell, one of their licensed dealerships, is not being honest. A dealership lying about performing recalls is a serious safety violation and should be reviewed immediately by your agency. How many other recalls has criswell been paid for but not actually performed the work? What are the controls in your agency to mitigate this risk? |
