Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2011 jeep grand cherokee. While driving 15 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the brakes failed to completely stop the vehicle. The contact had to depress the brake pedal with full force in order to stop the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake booster failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact recieved notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v154000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. |
