Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2011 jeep grand cherokee. While the driver attempted to reverse the vehicle, the brakes did not hold and the vehicle crashed into a light pole. There were no warning indicators illuminated. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake booster, which was remedied per an unknown recall approximately a year and a half ago, failed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and instructed the dealer not to do anything until the manufacturer's adjustor investigated the failure. The failure was not remedied. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. |
