Description of the problem | Twice in the past two months, vehicle has completely shut down during braking, while in motion, while making a right hand turn. Lost power brakes, steering, everything. The first time it happened luckily no one was behind me. The second time, the steering wheel locked and i ended up in the median curb with two cars behind me that had to abruptly swerve to avoid me. It was a complete shut down. No power anything, radio, lights, nothing. I came to a stop after standing on the brake with all my weight! I put the car in p and it started right up after that. Very scary and unsafe, needless to say! I have since parked it but am having a really hard time with a family of 5 down to one car. I am on an email list to be notified when there is a fix, but it seems they're not in a hurry! The recall number for this fix is 19v-813. Thank you. |
