Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep grand cherokee. While driving at approximately 30 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle restarted; however, the failure recurred six times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the crank shaft sensor and the crank shaft position sensor were both replaced. In addition, an unknown wiring repair related to the failure was performed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. As a result, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ecm failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 798. |
