Description of the problem | The vehicle was at a full stop in a line of cars to pick up children for school. Let off brake to "inch" forward, and the car suddenly fully accelerated. Brake did not override the acceleration. The car in front was hit causing major damage to both vehicles. It continued to accelerate around that vehicle and then jumped a curb before being able to halt the vehicle and kill the engine. Narrowly escaped killing of school children at an elementary school!!! The images attached will show that this was the amount of acceleration that occurred within just a few feet of the vehicle that was in front. It was not human error that led to this crash. Please exercise due diligence in investigating this, so as to prevent future tragedy! .. Updated 12/11/17 *bf updated 9/28/18*jb |
