Description of the problem | Between 1/2 & 1/4 tank the vehicle will run out of fuel and stall due to the secondary transfer fuel pump failing to run to transfer the remaining fuel in the horseshoe shaped tank to the side where the main pump draws fuel from . This happens without warning and vehicle will not start until you add fuel to bring the level above 1/2 tank . Have had it to dealer twice for replacement and the pump fails again shortly after . This is also a safety concern as vehicle can stall during passing or while in heavy traffic situations . This is a poorly engineered system and at the very least the secondary fuel pump needs to be recalled and improved to stop these failures |
