Description of the problem | Had s27 transmission shifter software fix applied. Asked dealer what happens when driver's door is opened at cruising speed (or door closed switch fails while driving). Will transmission automatically shift to park - destroying the transmission and possibly injuring someone? What specific conditions must be met for transmission to automatically shift to park? Dealer does not know. Called chrysler - they don't know. Dealer did not provide new user manual pages as indicated by the recall letter - perhaps this information is in these pages. |
