Description of the problem	I purchased a 2015 jeep grand cherokee from a chrysler dodge dealership on june 3, 2016. That particular day, there were new 2016 jeep grand cherokee's but they were not for sale and had some type of "do not sale stickers" on them. The sales rep stated the new 2016 jeep grand cherokees were under recall and could not be sold until the recall was fixed. There was one pre owned 2015 jeep grand cherokee available so i asked if it under recall too and was told no so i purchased it. In or around september 2016, i received a recall notice for the vehicle. I was so angry and felt like i had been duped because i specifically asked about a recall and was told there was none. I did some research and learned there is no state law that requires dealerships to disclose recalls on pre owned vehicles; the state law only governs brand new vehicles not being sold. I felt defeated and let it go, until this month; when i decided to have the recall completed (at a different dealer). This made me angry all over again so i did additional research and located the nhtsa's 2015 consent order against fca usa and decided to report this issue to you for review. In the consent order, fca was supposed to "develop and implement a process to deter dealer sales of unremedied vehicle subject to recalls, regardless of whether new or used. In my case, that did not happen and i don't want this to happen to anyone else! My question is, does the consent order apply to my situation? If so, what are my options?
