Description of the problem | Took my jeep in for a routine oil change and was told that both ends of the steering box are leaking will need repair at a cost of nearly $2400. 00. In researching this problem i discovered hundreds of complaints across the country for this same problem as well as a recall of jeep products in 2011-2012 for the same problems that resulted in injuries to drivers and fires in vehicles. This is a well known problem with previous precedent from prior model years that needs to be addressed through a recall process before some gets injured or killed or a vehicle catches fire. The service advisor even admitted that they see a lot of these issues with the jeep product. |
