Description of the problem | Received a recall notice on 11/15/16. Repair shop where car was purchased advised they are unable to assist. Contacted thefca recall center for the manufacturer, who advised that they are unable to repair for 90 days pending their determination of repair process for all affected vehicles. 3 months is not a reasonable amount of time to repair safety features on a vehicle that my 17 year old daughter is driving. Company should fix timely or pay for rental or provide another vehicle to drive until they can repair it. These known defects in primary safety features and inefficiencies to repair are unacceptable and puts lives in jeopardy. Safety features could fail and people killed by the time these issues are fixed. The secretary should impose immediate remedy requirements. |
