Description of the problemMy 2014 jeep patriot over the last several months seems to be losing power while driving. For example when on the on ramp attempting to enter the interstate , it just feels like its almost running out of gas and rpm's will go up to 5-6 . I am almost afraid of being ran over when accelerating during any situation. Also my brakes from day one have always squeeked... I've taken it in to have it checked , they have cleaned and days later the same think. And the drums on rear are even worse, more of a grinding sound, but also i have been told they are fine. This noise is not normal . I have also had a few incidents where say sitting in traffic with my foot on the brake it will switch from manual to standard. It will be in drive then i will look and it will be in d 1. I have to manually push the shifter over to go back to normal drive.
