Description of the problem | Jeep had 40,000 miles on it and was making a weird noise when driving on the highway. I thought it was tires, so i got new tires and they told me the ball joints were loose and needed to be replaced. They quoted it and said that without fixing it, it would wear down my tires faster. I brought my car in for inspection at another shop and they were surprised, but they said the ball joint assemblies needed to be replaced as they were loose and rusted out and that they need to do both control arms because of how the jeeps are bit and explained it thoroughly. They also said they could not estimate how much of a life they had left, but that it would be best to fix it before it broke. I had them replace the front control arms and ball joint assemblies. |
