Description of the problem | My car begin sputtering, stalling when i pressed on the gas as if it was not getting enough gas, my indicator lights on the panel of the car would just start to go crazy causing the seatbelt sign to begin to ding and ding and ding, even though i had my seat belt on. I took the car to be looked at and was told that there is a recall on the vehicle that i should look up. I did and there were three recalls involving my vehicle, two of which related directly to the problems i was having. I contacted chrysler who said my vin number was not included in the recall. I asked how that is possible when exactly what i am experiencing is exactly what they listed. She told me to take the car back to the dealership have them check it out and if they determined that this was the problem then they would not to call and tell them that. I immediately contacted the dealer and spoke with service who explained why should they have to contact chrysler when it's not their problem. I said sir, i am only following instructions. He then went on to explain to me that well they could look at the car but it would cost me $230 to do a diagnostic. I asked why i would have to for that and he said "he has to pay his people". I made an appoint and took the car. When they called they worded everything in a manner that would remove me from the recall, however they then put "fuel injection" at the bottom. I inquired about this and was told that i am supposed to get my fuel injection cleaned 2 per year. I informed them i never heard of such a thing. He also told me it would close to $500 to get my seatbelf fixed "that is not even broken" and never did anything about the indicator lights. I was told that they needed to put my car "back together" which i also did not understand because i thought a diagnostic did not require that. Now my engine light is also on and nobody will return my calls. |
