Description of the problem | Takata recall.. My 2017 jeep renegade was purchased new in may 2018 had 18 miles on the odometer... On july 20, 2017, while driving on the highway, i had just come thru a work zone; traffic had been stop and go for about 10 miles. As i reached the end of the work zone; the jeep started jerking as if the gearshift was stuck or shifting uncontrollably, lost power and stopped in the middle of the highway! I had no shoulder or exit t steer towards. This was a dangerous situation. I immediately exited the vehicle called ohp and roadside assistance. After 15 20 minutes, i went back to try start the jeep and it started! This was the 2nd occurrence. The first time it did not shut off. I have know idea why this is happening. I have contacted the dealer and scheduled it for service. |
