Description of the problem | We only bought this car 8 months ago with 70,000 miles on the engine. We noticed the engine seemed to be losing power after about 4 months. Then last week the car abruptly shrieked and stopped while we were driving. After which, the engine began to knock, and we had it towed to a local kia dealership. The dealership told us we would need a new engine and the knock was coming from the low end. We have religiously serviced the vehicle, and the car only had 80,000 miles when the engine blew. Clearly this is a failure of the manufacturer, but because we are not the original owners, kia refuses to provide the repairs they know they are responsible for. |
