Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 kia optima. While driving 55 mph, the engine shut off and the engine caught fire. The fire extinguished on its own. There were no injuries. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms as listed in nhtsa campaign number: 17v224000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was not towed and a police report was not filed.
