Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2016 kia optima. The contact stated that the engine made an abnormal knocking sound and the vehicle stalled. In addition, the check engine indicator illuminated. The failures occurred without warning. On four occasions, the vehicle was towed and driven to sunset kia of venice (179 u. S. 41 bypass, venice, fl 34285) where it was diagnosed that a new wiring harness for the knock sensors was needed along with a new engine. The vehicle was repaired, but the failures recurred.
