Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 kia soul. While driving and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate and remained in second gear. Also, the oil warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to benson kia of spartanburg (located at 1100 n pine st, spartanburg, nc 29303, (864) 585-3611) where it was diagnosed that an unknown computer code needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed to depress the accelerator pedal to manuever the gear shifter out of gear. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000. |
