Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owned a 2014 kia soul. The contact stated that while driving a highway rate of speed from another state, there had been other drivers on the roadway honking horns to alert the contact that the vehicle was smoking. There was an abnormal noise progressing from the engine assembly. Upon further inspecting from the rear view mirror and noticed smoke coming from the vehicle then the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road, the contact exited the vehicle as the engine bursts into flames. The vehicle was towed to a facility by the insurance company who indicated the vehicle was a total loss. The dealer (janesville kia, 3419 ryan rd, janesville, wi 53545, (608) 743-9600) was called and informed of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, indicated that they would follow up in three business days, provided a case number but had not yet responded to the contact.
