Description of the problem | Kia soul all of sudden had engine light on and acceleration started to decrease for 5 minutes. Car then went back to normal but engine had klanking sound. After slowing down off highway, clacking sound was louder and engine started to sputter and stall out. When car turned on it engine had loud clangs. Once towed to dealer, dealer said metal shavings was found in oil filter and required a new engine be installed for 12k. This happened at 115,000 miles just outside the powertrain warrenty |
